A woman in her 60s died after an accident that involved three vehicles near Newtownards in the county below.
Police said it happened on the Portaperry road shortly after 10:20 BST on Friday.
Cherith Adair said: “A red truck traveling to Grayabbey had been involved in a collision with a silver carrier of Citroen Berling People and an Audi A3 white car that was traveling in the director of Newtownards.”
A passenger in Citroen died on the scene.
Eight other people, three men, two women and three children, were tasks to the hospital to receive treatment.
The Portaperry road was closed for several hours, while accident investigators examined the scene, but since then it has come.
