They worked together to free Mikhail from the remains of their car.
Dr. Moloney and Mr. Moon arrived at the scene a few minutes after receiving the dispatch call and quickly evaluated Michail’s injuries.
They identified significant damage on their right leg and expressed a group about a possible brain injury due to their confused state.
They administered pain relief, treated their secular lesions and stabilized it for the transfer to an important trauma center in London.
His rapid intervention means that Mikhail received immediate treatment, helping to save his leg and minimize long -term effects.
As part of a series of the BBC Morning Live that explores with trauma and recovery, Mikhail visited the EHAAT Air Base to meet Dr. Moloney, Mr. Moon and the patient and family link nurse, Trish Burton, who is part of the team that provides support and subsequent consultation.
After meeting the team and showing around the base, Mikhail expressed his gratitude for the attention he received.
He said: “I really don’t remember much about the accident, the previous hours and later days.
“Meeting James and Rob have been incredible to fill some of the blank spaces for me.
“I can’t thank Essex & Herts aerial ambulance team enough for everything they did that day.
“Seeing the remains of my car, I know things could have been very far away.
“Knowing them again and learning about the incredible subsequent care offered by the beneficial organization through the patient and family link team has been really revealing.
“Knowing that it is a beneficial organization that depends on donations to continue this vital work makes it even more important for people to support them at the beginning of what they can.”
Dr. Moloney reflected on the meeting, highlighting the impact of these meetings both in patients and the crew.
He said: “As first -line doctors, we play a vital but relatively short role in a patient’s trip, attending them when they are in their most severely sick or children.
“That is why meetings like this are so valuable: it gives us the opportunity to see the progress they make.
“Meeting Mikhail again and seeing how good it is fantastic.
“It is also important to recognize that each emergency response is a team effort.
“Without the support of the other emergency services on the scene, EAST paramedics, Essex Fire & Rescue and the Essex Police, we would not have been able to do our job.
“His rapid actions played a crucial role in Mikhail’s care, and we are grateful to have such strong associations.”
He continues to provide attention to save lives in Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.
As a beneficial organization that depends on donations, public support is essential to maintain operational service.
