Around the weekend, high pressure will move away east. This will allow meteorological fronts to approach from the west.
For Saturday morning, there will be clouds and rain outbreaks at the southwest end of England. This rain will move towards the Northeast through Wales, Northern Ireland and northwest of England during the afternoon.
Despite a brilliant beginning, the western half of the United Kingdom will become quite cloudy. The best of the sun and the warmer conditions will be extended through the southeast end of England, which could still see maximums of 22c (72f).
On Saturday night, the cloud and rain will push east by the United Kingdom and on Sunday you will see areas of persistent clouds, sunny spells and showers. You will feel cooler for everyone with 11-18C maximums.
While much of the rain will be light and irregular, and some places will escape it completely, this weekend announces a more typical return to conditions. Instead of the sun from the wall to the wall in recent times, there will be clouds, fresh winds from the southwest and some more appreciable and very necessary rainfall for the soil dry at the beginning of the new week.
