Sarah Reynolds was found without responding in a house to the harvest just before 5 in the morning of April 12.
The officers and teams of the London ambulance service attended, however, the 58 -year -old man was declared dead shortly after.
Earlston Bennet, 57, or Towpath Way, Croydon has been accused of murder today (April 14).
It will appear in custody at the Croydon Magistrates Court on April 15.
It is believed that Bennet was known by Sarah and detectives do not look for anyone else in relation to the incident.
Detectives continue their work to build an image of Sarah’s life in the week prior to her death.
They are eager to talk to anyone who interacts or has seen Sarah in recent weeks.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “An investigation was launched after the officers were called an address on the towing path, Croydon at 04: 55 hours on Saturday, April 12.
“The police arrived shortly after, but despite the best efforts to attend emergency services, a 58 -year -old woman was unfortunately declared dead in the scene.
“While formal identification has not yet been carried out, officers have appointed women as Sarah Reynolds.
“His family is being supported by specialized officers.”
