“It is always important,” said manager Oliver Glasner to South London Press On how crucial the defense against its Midlands rivals at the National Stadium will be.
“We are always talking about the basics, with all respect for each opposition team, whether you play in Doncaster or play in Manchester City. It is always crucial and we are always talking about having a great balance.
“But i Don’t Just Want To Talk About Defending, Because You Want To Win The Game, You Also Have To Score and We Want To Win The Game Within 90 Minutes. If it Takes 120 Minutes, We Will Take 120. If we need IT0 and WIN IT0 and WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0, AND WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0 AND WIN IT0.
On Wednesday, against the semifinalists of the Champions League, Arsenal, the Glasner team had only 32.3 percent possession, but came from behind twice to ensure a 2-2 draw and this intention of goals is what the Austrian wants to see in the National Stadium on Saturday.
“In the Emirates, most of the time we were defending in a very compact way, but when we have the opportunity to advance, then we advance,” he explained. “This is how we want to play tomorrow, again.”
