The Duckwood Inn opened at the corner of Whitchurch Road and Wigton Way in August 1955.
The architect Brian D. Kett was responsible for the design of the irrigation hole, and the name was inspired by the local forest formed by duck wood trees.
It was an old place of Cervecería de Manns leased from the London County Council at that time.
According to Havering libraries, Romford Rugby Club became home at Duckwood, he even used it as his headquarters.
But it wasn’t just rugby who was welcome in the pub.
In 1967, the archives of the Library registration that the Trophy of the National Champions of the Mann Darts team was exhibited in pride in the lounge bar.
There was also a trophy for the soccer player of the Romford Liga League.
The Duckwood experienced Drakes in the 1980s, but soon returned to his original name.
It is understood that he has the only councilor of the London County in Harold Hill that deviates from his founding name.
Decades are presented in 2010, the shipment is customary in the pub and stopped operating.
