Healthwatch Havering asked the transport chiefs to reconsider the SL12 bus proposal route between Gants Hill and Rainham at a meeting last week.
According to the plans presented last month, the express service would travel in eastern London, with stops in Gants Hill, Newbury Park, Romford and Elm Park.
But a Joint Health Committee on four East London, Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest tips, it has been said that a different route “benefits many more people.”

Ian Buckmaster, director of Healthwatch Havering, asked the councilors to support their calls for the bus to travel to Horchurch instead of Elm Park.
He said he would provide a direct connection of the King George Hospital and Queen’s Hospital until St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub.
“We are proposing an alternative route that stops in St George’s to which people are derived from Queen and King George,” he explained.
“Redbridge residents will be referred there, and Barking and Dagenham residents will be derived there.
“There is currently no bus service directly from King George to St George’s and Romford’s only direct service is 252, which goes through all houses.”
He added that existing buses stop too far from the health center, which is a problem for older people or for those with mobility problems.
“We will make a request for a new bus stop outside San Jorge,” he said.
“When the planning permit was granted, they said that would be available in public transport, but there is not.”
Mr. Buckmaster also said that Elm Around park is already “very congested”, so sending SL12 to Horchurch would make more sense.
TFL declined to comment directly on Healthwatch Havering’s suggestion, since a consultation on his proposal is underway.
People ask the legs to share their views on the plans until May 23.
