An 18 -year -old man died after a water jet crashed into a dock in Shetland.
A 17 -year -old boy was also hospital tasks to receive treatment after the incident, which occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Gremista Marina, Lerwick.
The Scotland police said the teenager, who has not appointed his leg, was declared dead on the scene, near the Shetland fish factory.
A force spokesman said: “The consultations are up to establish complete circumstances.”
No details have been released on the condition of the 17 -year -old, who was also traveling on the water motorcycle.
The Rnli Lerwick lifeboat, a rescue helicopter from the Coast Guard and emergency teams responded to the incident.
Emma Macdonald, the leader of the Shetland Islands Council, described the community as “shocked and sad.”
She told BBC Scotland News: “I think I would like to pay a real tribute to our emergency services that obviously had to deal with a really tragic situation.
“And I think everyone would like to do what I am doing now to transmit all our love and thoughts to all the families involved.”
