The Post Office confirmed that it is downloading 108 crown branches, which are currently owned and managed by the company, including 36 in London.
The process could see the tasks of the sites by other companies, while others could face the closure as the franchises move to different facilities.
One of those at risk is the branch at High Street, Chipping Barnet.
The requests were launched by Barnet’s work Group to save both the Barnet Barnet branch and the Golders Green post office.
In an update on the Barnet petition, which has grown from 351 to 2,585 signatures, Barnet parliamentarian Dan Tomlinson said: “The news about the Barnet Post Office was a shock for many voters.
“The conversation with the postal office was productive, but the work does not stop here.
“I have made it clear that we must maintain a substantial presence of the Post Office in Barnet High Street for the needs of our communities and our local economy.
“I will continue to fight for the Barnet Post Office and a fair treatment for staff.
“I encourage all the constituents to hear their voice and sign the request launched in collaboration with our local councilors.”
Others listed were in Kilburn High Road, on the border of Camden and Brent; Headstone Drive, Harrow; Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury; Upper Street, Islington; South Mall, Edmonton Green; and Stamford Hill, Hackney.
The Post Office said the plan, which is subject to government funds, will help it increase the remuneration of the Post Office in an additional £ 250 million a year by 2030.
The president of the Post Office, Nigel Rilton, said: “Moving to a fully franchised network is a part of allowing the Post Office to deliver a new agreement for Postmasters, helping to create a long -term sustainable future for the Post Office.
“When franchise the thesis branches, we are protecting access to our services for communities throughout the United Kingdom and making savings worth the value of £ 40 million that will allow us to raise the remuneration of postcards teachers” up to 10%. ”
