The property of Sir Richard Steele Pub, in Hoverstock Hill, is being marketed by Ag & G London, which will offer sacrifices in the £ 4,400,000 region.
The owner Jimmy McGrath, who made a 20 -year lease contract in 2023 after executing the watering hole in the 1980s, told Ham & High that he did not know that the pub was in the market.
He said: “I acquired the lease contract a while ago, so it can be the owners.
“I have a genuine lease and I am not worried. I would like to know who sells it and who is acquiring it to keep up with it.”

Steele has gained notoriety in the past by his celebrity clientele, which has been included in Kate Moss, Sadie Frost, Jude Law, Rhys Ifans and the Gallagher brothers.

The sale is marketed as an “investment” and includes the negotiation bar and the attitudes rooms on the ground floor and four luxury floors that contain cars on the two floors above.
Jimmy, who also directs the King William IV pub at Hampstead High Street, directed the pub in 1984 before giving reins to his son.

The muffle was the tasks of Faucett Inns in 2011, which was dissolved in 2021 after converting the old Function Room from above floors.
Jimmy previously told Ham and tall I wanted to bring back “Happy Times” to the pub adding: “The pub was available and I always liked. There were happy moments there and memories, why not”?
After a complete internal renewal, it brought comic elements to the decoration, including a sign on one of the two outputs that reads that nobody is sober.
The pub is named Sir Richard Steele, the writer, playwright, politician and co -founder of the Viewer Magazine, and a portrait of him was taken at the head of the pub in front of a great bar.
The AG & G brochure says: “Neether, staff, management or customers are aware that property is marketed for sale and should not be addressed under any circumstance. This is the sale of investment only. The business is not affected.”
The pub is located in the ETON conservation area and does not appear on the list, but became a community value asset in 2016.
