Romford Town Wombles cleaned the city as part of the great British spring of Great Britain and the British Spring Clean ‘campaign and Havering Council where we live.
The volunteers came armed with garbage selections, bags and swords, with 50 garbage bags collected in just one day.
The councilors, including leader Ray Morgon, also joined and helped.
Cllr Morgon said: “There are those who think it is good to drop the garbage or put it in a container.
“We do our bits cleaning streets, as well as cleaning the floss tip and the litter, we all get trapped.”

Everyone can play a role to keep Romford clean and tidy, authority urges.
The Council organizes regular events with a meeting call for anyone who wants to join.
Rob enifer, by Romford Town Kombles, said: “The day was a great success and our volunteers showed a fantastic community spirit, helping to improve the environment in our city.
“We have regular monthly group events in Romford and its surroundings and we would please know anyone who wants to come and join us.”
