The students of the Jessop Elementary School in Lambeth received a special egg delivery for young patients who passed Easter holidays receiving care and treatment at King’s College hospital.
A group of 13 school students in Lowden Road visited the Denmark hospital last week to donate a selection of Easter eggs. The group also had the opportunity to talk to King staff working in the pediatric halls of the hospital.
Kenneth Baffoe, head of the Jessop Elementary School, said: “We have exaggerated for the enthusiasm and generosity of our students, who wanted to help a difference to others.
“King’s is our local hospital, so he felt like a real community effort. We hope that this very special delivery of Easter eggs illuminate vacations for many children.”
Sarah Harris, director of Nursing at King’s College Hospital, added: “These donations will bring many smiles and joy to our young patients and their families. We are very grateful to everyone at Jessop Elementary School for this wonderful act of goodness.”
