The new shelters have settled in an attempt to replace those withdrawn in 2021.
Restoring bus shelters in the streets of the municipality has been a priority for the executive mayor, Jason Perry.
Working in close association with Transport for London (TFL), the Council assured an agreement that has delivered 101 new shelters in just under 100 days, from the first installation to the last one.
This has a legistic logistics effort that implies careful coordination between the Council, TFL and the contractors.
More than 88,000 people use the bus network in Croydon Daily, and the new shelters are expected to improve trips and attract new passengers.
Two additional shelters must be installed at the end of this year, they are currently being delayed until location surveys have been completed.
The executive mayor of Croydon, Jason Perry, said: “I am delighted that we have back our legs to recover the bus shelters for residents and I appreciate everything that his return has waited patiently.
“The residents tell my legs how happy they are with the new shelters.
“Having them back is a small change, but makes a big difference.”
