Mihalio Ivanovic is doing yours.
The 20-year-old Serbian striker scored twice at the Crucial Victoria 3-1 of Millwall over Norwich City on Easter Monday, marking his second orthopedic device in the territory this month after scoring twice against Portsmouth on April 5.
Ivanovic’s opening match against the Canary Islands saw him reach double figures for the season in goals in the League, a milestone he admitted was particularly sweet in front of the local crowd.
“It’s great to write down two, especially in the lair again, a wonderful feeling,” said Ivanovic.
“Femi knew [Azeez] I was going to put the straight ball. I hoped that I was going directly, but it bounced to someone, I just needed to think quickly and touched her with my knee, that’s inside, that’s the important thing. “
The second goal of the Serbian occurred through a header, which has a particular affection.
“I expected the ball to see my way,” he explained. “VI Sav [George Saville] Terrifying it in the first publication, so I got there and directed it. It’s the most wonderful thing to score a header for me. I don’t know why, but I love writing up. “
Now, with 11 league goals in his debut championship season, Ivanovic admitted that it was not what to expect to enter English football.
“I am not sure to say that because it is a hard league, especially for the first games,” he said. “It’s difficult, but when you get used to your team carpets and your team is good, it’s my job to score goals.”
Since Alex Neil’s arrival to Millwall, Ivanovic’s form has not improved. The striker accredits Neil’s training for helping to refine his movement in and around the box.
“A months after he arrived, he saw that he had something to improve a little more and has helped me a lot with the movement: in the second publication, first publication, when to go and when not to go,” said Ivanovic. “It has helped me a lot.”
Millwall remains in search of a play-off place, and Ivanovic says that the collective spirit is promoting individual success.
“We are, as a team, in good shape, in a good career, competing for the play-offs still,” he said. “So I can give credit only to my teammates and my coach, that is, that is the reason I am in good shape.”
A key part of that good shape has its growing association with its front partner Josh Coburn, with Neil opting for a first line of two men in recent games.
“Josh Coburn is an incredible player. I love playing with him in advance because he is a little higher than me and can fight for the ball,” said Ivanovic.
“I can wait a little longer in the spaces and there are two types in the box for the crossings. I love playing with Josh.
“We are two against two against the defenders. He helps me a lot and I try to help him as much as I can because he is accustomed to this league and I am new. We talk a lot, we are good friends too, so it is really good.”
As for its objective objective for the season, Ivanovic remained tight lips.
“There is still more to come,” he said. “We will see at the end of the season how we will see: I am in the battle for it, but we will see if I hit it.”
