Metroline, which operates around 100 bus routes through the capital on behalf of Transport for London (TFL), states that a recent technology trial successfully reduces the waiting times of passengers.
Around the last year, five bus routes operating from the Edgware bus garage: 113, 142, 204, 240 and 251, have used AI’s instructions to row the drivers.
The technology, called Flowos Live, predicts the progress of each bus on the fleet and simulates the impact of several settings on the progress and space of the bus.
This information is used to provide instructions to drivers, with the aim of improving the reliability of the service, punctuality and speed.
Duration The system test, each trip made by a passenger saved ten seconds on average.

Technology will also automatically be used for much of the administrative work that is currently carried out to monitor and register incidents, cancellations and network delays.
Metroline says that this will allow your control room equipment to dedicate more time to improve the delivery of its services.
However, its deployment of technology is an industry first in the United Kingdom.
Sean O’Shea, CEO of Metroline London, said: “Metroline undertakes to evolve our service provision and passenger experience.
“Embarting the software assisted by AI-AI in our daily operations will not only help us meet these objectives, but also support our vision of offering safe, reliable and sustainable transport to our communities.”
Pete Ferguson, CEO of Prospective.io, the company Beind Flowos Live, added: “Working in close collaboration with Metroline, we have been able to ensure that the software rommensations are effective, and that the general system works in a practical ATEXTE, allowing equipment fishing
