£ 1,000 subsidies will be used to help groups assume projects that will help the environment and save money.
Some of the projects include investing in reusable coffee cups, reuse of clothing, building community gardens and buying energy efficiency systems such as heat pumps.
Subsidies are part of the new scheme of repair, reuse and recycling of the Lewisham Council.
One of the groups that received a subsidy is in the helmet, a local coffee and a bistro.
The Sydenham Café will use the subsidy to invest in reusable coffee cups for customers, better washing facilities and the development of a cup and incentive deposit scheme.

Councilor Louise Krupski, vice -party of Lewisham and a member of the environment for the environment, transport and climatic action, said: “We are proud to move towards a more circular economy in Lewisham, one that helps us meet our climate, Spanish and swordsman, so savings can be reinvipated to other areas.
“Repair, recycling and geusing not only fixed daily articles, but also about improving the way we live, work and act, so we function as a more reflective, efficient and resistant community.”
