Simply detain oil activists (JSO) who planned to stick to a track at Heathrow airport, prison terms have been saved.
After a trial, the nine activists were convicted of conspiracy to cause public discomfort after the police prevented them from causing an “unprecedented interruption” at the Western London airport on July 24.
The defendants had already fulfilled the time they were sentenced or delivered with suspended sentences.
Previously in the Isleworth Crown Court, Judge Hannah Duncan said that the defendants had not violated the perimeter fence and that they did not cause interruption or “real damage”, but added that they had not shown “without remorse.”
Video images filmed in Heathrow and shared in Jsos X Feed seemed to show the people who were bicycle near a fabric wire fence near the planes of the pins before disassembling and being addressed by the officers.
Following the incident, Activists Sally Davidson, 37, of Portland, Adam Beard, 55, Of Stud, Luke Elson, 32, Of Stratford, East London, Luke Watson, 35, of Tottenham Marshes, Sean O’Callaghan, 30 of Dorking, Hannah Shafer, 61, Of Ceredigion, Rory Wilson, 26, Or Limehouse, and Organizers Rosa Hicks, 29, or Winchester, and William Goldring, 27, or Rye Lane in Peckham were arrested and accused.
Judge Duncan told the defendant’s trial that judgment as an “extension of the protest”, adding: “A court of the court is not a street or a city square, and is executed at a considerable cost.
“It is where accusations of crimes are tested, where often the most vulnerable people of society are as defendants or witnesses.
“There are women and children who have abused the legs, assaulted or raped sexual who are waiting for the courts of the court.
“You used one for seven weeks. Some of you drag it as you could at every time, lying on your actions and intentions that day to get more advertising.
“He does not add a single day to his prayer, but demonstrates his lack of remorse so far and exposes the lie of responsibility.”
