
A man who repeatedly stabbed a nine -year -old girl in an attempt to kill her imprisoned leg ha for 30 years.
Jordan Wilkes, 29, from New Milton, attacked the girl, who played outside her floor with a friend, in August 2024.
Bournemouth Crown Court heard Wilkes phone data showed that he had investigated the murder of James Bulger, disturbances after Southport’s murders and information about Aiden Fucci, before the attack.
In an impact statement of the victim, the girl’s mother said her daughter had developed a post -traumatic stress disorder and “permanent chain.”
The court heard that the girl was not known by Wilkes before the attack, which happened in a gland direction duration of school holidays.
He had a leg playing on a community staircase when Wilkes left his floor and stabbed it with a shovel three times, once in the jaw, then his shoulder and knee.
The girl and her friend managed to escape and hit several doors before a neighbor touched them and called for emergency services.
In the Dorset Police trial images, Wilkes can be heard by directing the officers to the attempted homicide weapon in their room.
Later, his DNA was found in the male of the palette, while the victim’s blood was found in the blade.
Prosecutor Berenice Mulvanny told the court that the victim was tasks in the hospital and treated for his “serious” knife wounds, but the court was heard that he left with scars for life.
The wound in his neck was lost by little the main arteries, which could have led to a fatal loss of blood if they had been cut, according to the court.
Mrs. Mulvanny said that a search in the defendant’s house found a series of knives, several of which were hidden in the facilities.
The analysis of his mobile phone revealed 69 files related to YouTube videos, news articles and podcasts centered on murders and children’s murders.
Mrs. Mulvanny said this included the so -called “Valentine’s Day” in a high school in Parkland, Florida, in 2018 in which 17 people were killed.
He had also sought the riots after the murder of three girls in a dance class in Southport in July 2024, and one day after the murders he had clicks on a link for a local dance class, according to the court.

Wilkes was convicted after the trial or a murder attempt and a charge of possessing an article with a loop on March 7.
Testing a sentence, Judge William Mousley KC praised the courage of the two girls.
He said: “The behavior of two very brave girls has been quite remarkable, in the light of order
Wilkes was sentenced to 30 years in prison and an extended five -year license for attempted murder.
He recovered a two -year prison sentence for the possession of an Eagle Blade to direct the competitor.

The main prosecutor of the crown, Kelly Newman, said Wilkes was a “highly dangerous individual with an obscene interest in knives and violence.”
She said: “The examination of all available evidence, particularly her disturbing online search history in the week before this attack, revealed her horrible intentions of killing and damaging children.
“This attack repeats the worst nightmare of all parents, believing that their son is playing innocent and safely, just to be attacked in such a horrible way.
“We have moved bone through the victim’s courage and her friend through this process. We hope they can start healing such a terrifying order.”
