The chief of Crystal Palace, Oliver Glasner, is not persecuted by the WHO that chooses to start for Aston Villa in his semifinal of the FA Cup in Wembley on Saturday, since its structure is always the same regardless of the first 11.
The Eagles have played Villa four times since Glasner replaced Roy Hodgson in Selhurst Park, with the southern Londoners so far.
Palace has won 5-0 and 4-1 against the Villa de Emery Bajo Glasner team, while knocked out the quarterfinals of the Champions League this season at the EFL Cup at the beginning of this season in Villa Park.
Emery has changed between starting Ollie Watkins and Marcus Rashford in the second half of the season since the latter joined Manchester United on the winter window.
“I don’t care,” said Glasner, when asked about the challenges of preparing for Emery players.
“Hey, I don’t call me to ask who I want to play. The structure is the same as Rashford or Ollie Watkins.
“They have almost the same profiles: a great rhythm and always attacking the space behind.
“I am quite sure that Morgan Rodgers and Marco Asensio will play. If he plays with Yuri Tielemans, Boubacar Kamara or Amadou Onana, while two play, the structure is the same.
“If he plays with Lucas Digne or Ian Maatsen, the structure is the same. How hey are his defenders to defend is always the same.
“I really don’t care because I don’t know. We’ll see his alignment 75 minutes before tomorrow’s start. Then we’ll talk about fine margins.
“Maybe there is a difference in the fixing pieces between Tyrone Mings and Pau Torres. These are the small margins.
“Its structure took them to the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Its structure and way of playing, and how Unai Emery manages this team, gave them a victory against the PSG at home.
“This is what he will trust. We will trust what we did really well in the first three games against Villa this year.
“I’m really sure it will be a great game in Wembley.”
