The 17-year-old, who cannot be appointed for legal reasons, was sentenced earlier this month for the murder of Deshaun James-Tuits, who died after being attacked in Highbury Fields, Islington on August 4, 2022.
The defendant, who was 15 years old at that time, was declared guilty after a trial at Old Bailey in February.
Dessshaun James spits, (Image: With the Police) On Friday, Judge Angela Rafferty KC sentenced the teenager to be arrested for life, with a minimum period of 15 years, reduced by the 598 days has already passed in custody.
The court heard that the defendant had traveled to the park with a group of other young people, carrying a large knife and with a covered face.
Police described him as “looking for problems.”
Deshaun had the leg conference a friend’s birthday celebration in the park when he was confronted.

Judge Rafferty said he did not believe that the Court had heard the “complete image” of the events that day, but it was clear that the teenager had armed with a large knife and brought it to a busy public park.
“You stabbed Desshaun with that knife,” he said. “The members of the public saw him that the street is about while it was.”
The judge said that Althegh was not previously planned, he was sure that the defendant was intended to cause very serious damage.
“He was only 15 years old,” he said.
“Caminasts look good and you should have seen it treated. Now he’s dead.”
Deshaun’s father was too annoying to write an impact statement of the victim for the court.
The previous convictions of the defendant for robberies committed shortly before the murder made his actions “even more serious,” said Judge Rafferty.
Previously, prosecutor Danny Robinson KC told the court that the defendant had three previous convictions for five crimes.
Two robberies in the place of Tok in July 2022, when the victims were threatened by their phones and value objects.
In one case, a victim was told: “If you don’t give your phone in the next 20 seconds, I’m going to write you.”
The defense lawyer Michael Magarian KC argued that the adolescent had just turned 15 at the time of stabbing, and that the incident was spontaneous instead of premeditated.
He pointed out a problematic education marked by domestic violence, and reports that the adolescent had bone at risk of exploitation by major criminals.
The court heard that while he was in custody in the institution of young criminals Feltham, the defendant had committed himself well to education and expressed aspirations to follow a race in finance.

However, she added that only the defendant knew why the attack occurred, and pointed out that he continued to deny the responsibility of the stabbing.
The defendant, dressed in a navy suit, showed no emotion when the sentence was approved.
A family member left the court crying after the hearing.
