The affected section of the pipe has been located, and preparations for complete repair are ongoing.
To guarantee the duration of the safety of the repair process, Thames Water has established temporary traffic management measures on the site.
These include a lane closure, temporary traffic signs and a pedestrian crossing.
The bus stops in the vicinity have also been temporarily suspended, with an early signage in place, according to the approved traffic management plan.
As part of the repair preparations, the water must be drained from the damaged section of the principal.
This will result in the water to be discharged in the sewers near the site, which is a normal and necessary phase of the repair process.
Currently, no client has no water supply.
However, if it is necessary to temporarily cut the supply to a certain property to complete the repair, the client will be notified in advance and will provide with the appropriate support.
The work is expected to be completed before April 20.
More updates will be provided if the situation changes.
