
The families of three teenagers who were killed by their friend in a car accident have received compensation, have confirmed the solitation.
Finlay Johns, Ian Cannon and Tyler Johnston, all Agga 16, were passengers in the car when he crashed in the A711 near Dumfries in March 2022.
The student’s driver Jake Loy was imprisoned last year after admitting that he killed his three friends with a dangerous driving.
A spokesman for Digby Brown Plicitors said civil statements had stayed on behalf of the victims and that everything had now settled.

A regular spokesman said: “This was a truly devastating collision, three children were lost in an avoidable accident that resulted in a deep and deep trauma for multiple families.
“Civil claims were presented in the name of those affected and I can confirm that these actions have been resolved, but it would be inappropriate to reveal more details.”

Loy, who was 17 at the time of the accident and did not have a complete license, was imprisoned for four years and eight months in the Superior Court of Glasgow in August 2024.
He had gone to drive with his friends in March 2022 when he crashed into another vehicle in the A711 in Cargenbridge, on the outskirts of Dumfries.
The three children, all from Moffat, died on the scene. The three people in the other car were seriously Kured, like Loy himself.
