Anita Nicole, a former student or the Catholic Sciences of St Gregory in Kenton, has achieved the main role in ‘Hoodminister’.
The new musical follows the trip of Sydalia Walker, a young Jamaican migrant who becomes the first black prime minister of the United Kingdom.
Production, which will debut on May 1 and 2 at the Canada Water Theater as part of the Peckham Fringe Festival, is a mixture of physical theater, song and dance, exploring issues of faith, resistance and power.
Peckham Fringe has previously been a release release for programs that have reached national acclamation and transferred to the West End.
Miss Nicole, who grew up in Harrow and went to the British school, has made the transition of being an artist developed by Warner Music To Theater Actress, with this first main role.
She expects her story to inspire other young people in the area.
