
The former leader of the City Council of Glasgow and former MSP of Laborur Frank MCAavety has been arrested and accused of fraud crimes.
The Scotland Police confirmed that the accusations were related to incidents in Glasgow between 2022 and 2024.
The Scottish work and the Glasgow City Council have been contacted to comment.
Mcaveety was the leader of the Council from 1997 to 1999, when he was chosen for the Scottish Parliament.
He held several ministerial positions before losing Glasgow Shettleston’s seat against SNP in 2011.
Mr. Mcaveety was chosen for the Council in 2012, then re -elected as the Board leader in 2015.
It was successful for SNPS Susan Aitken in 2017.
