Welsh politicians have accused the United Kingdom Government of double standard on an emergency bill to protect steel in England.
In a debate on a British steel law proposed to save a Scunthorpe plant, CYMRU to paintings and liberal Democratic parliamentarians criticized government plans, saying that it had not done the same for Port Talbot.
Liz Saville-Roberts, leader of Westminster de Plaid, said: “Scunthorpe gets security, Port Talbot has a misery.”
The bill has been approved by Parliament And the United Kingdom ministers say that the two steel works are in different situations, and Port Talbot is in a better position due to the Labor Government.
Traditional steel production in Wales came to an end in September, With the loss of about 2,800 jobs At the Tata Steel’s Port Talbot plant.
The site is now making the transition to a greener steel production with a new electric arc oven, which requires less workers to be executed, which is expected to be in place since 2027.
The closure of the explosions was controversial in Wales, with checkered politicians asking for the nationalization of steel works.
Speaking of the debate, Mrs. Saville-Roberts said that Wales Prime Minister Eluned Morgan had fired his games, the calls of nationalization or Welsh steel as “pipe dreams.”
“This government did not intervene in Wales,” he said.

“Plaid Cymru believes that Port Talbot could and should have received the same treatment with Scunthorpe.
“The measures that we are discussing today could have been used to save the underpants in Tata Steel in Wales.
“People in Wales will not forget today, today is a day of bitter and bitter disappointment for Port Talbot.”
In statements to the BBC Wales, Secretary of State of Wales Jo Stevens described the situation in the plant in Scunthorpe as “very different” from that of Port Talbot.
“It is the only site in the United Kingdom where Virgin Steel becomes, and that is why it is a matter of national importance, strategic importance,” said Mrs. Stevens.

David Chadwick, spokesman for the Welsh liberal democrats, said that the closure of the high furnaces had begun a decrease in the economic activity of southern Wales that affected his constitution.
He said: “It is rubbing salt in the wounds so that the people of Port Talbot now listen to the government to recognize the importance of primary steel production as a strategic national asset
“Where was this urgency when the Welsh steel communities were crying for support, when Tata Steel announced more than 2,800 job losses in Port Talbot last year, the largest steel in the country, a key strategic asset, the manufacturing heart of Sethyfacture.”
Chadwick, deputy of Brecon, Radnor and CWM TAWE, whose grandfather worked on the disorders, added: “The simple fact is this, the Government did not remember the Parliament for Talbot. He did not remember the Parliament for Wales.
“When the crisis hits Wales, it is tolerated.
“When it reaches another place, it becomes a national emergency.”

In a publication about X, Tom Giffard, EM conservative for southwest Wales, said that steel workers in Port Talbot were promised that a labor government would change everything for the steel industry.
“They sell them along the river by changing anything and just taking measures when the jobs in other places were under threat. The work simply does not care about southern Wales,” he added.
Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds told the commons that the previous conservative agreement negotiated the Port Talbot agreement.
“We could not reopen the agreement, but we negotiated a better deal,” he said.
Speaking at the BBC breakfast before the debate, the industry minister, Sarah Jones, said: “When we entered the government, there was an agreement on the table with Tata Steel in Port Talbot.
“We negotiate in 10 weeks a much better treatment, but there was a private company willing to invest, which is now investing.
“We have maintained 5,000 jobs on the site and there will be a future for that site with an electric arc oven.
“There is no such deal on the table at this time [for Scunthorpe]That is what is different.
“The other difference is that these are the last underpants that make primary steel that we have in this country, and also what is different or the course is that the world is changing.
“As we have seen with the support of the Prime Minister to our defense industry in recent times, we must ensure that, as a country, we have the sovereign capacity to make steel, and that is what we are ensuring today.”
