The Lewisham Council has proposed the pedestrian part of the main street between New Cross Road and Hamilton Street, seven days a week.
This would see the prohibited traffic on the road, which has already closed three days a week for the markets, at certain hours of the day.
The exact times have not yet been decided leg, but all the options that are consulted would close the street between 11 am and 5 pm
The Save Deptford High Street campaign group has rejected plans, claiming that pedestrians threat to paralyze local businesses.
Rebecca Fall, who has lived in the area during the last five years, said that cutting deliveries to the stores that dare to certain hours would favor the richest entrepreneurs.
“Certain business types would be rewarded by these plans, and certain types of businesses would be punished,” he explained.
“Specifically, the largest companies and the richest companies that can leave their deliveries would be absolutely well.
“But if you direct a family business or do not have endless employees to those who can pay to obtain a delivery outside your delivery, how are you going to be able to obtain your actions?
“This will really turn Deptford into a theme park for the rich. It is not a theme park, it is our home.”

Lewisham’s advice has said that reducing traffic in Deptford High Street will help improve air quality and make it safer for pedestrians.
But Mrs. Fall said the local authority was trying to create problems that do not exist “to try to boost an agenda.”
“There are extremely contaminated streets in southeast London, such as New Cross Road or Old Kent Road,” he said.
“But Deptford High Street is really not one of them. It is not an obstructed urban hell, it is actually a very quiet market.
“No one considered those concerns about the environment until the Council began to press them.
“It is clearly a smoke curtain for gentrification and this form of social cleaning.”
Adam Pugh, a possible candidate of the Green Party for the counselor of the Deptford Chamber, has also written to Labor Brenda Dacres, raising Conerns about the plans.
He said: “If we are not careful, and if we don’t talk now, Deptford could become the next warning story. Deptford is not Shoreeditch.
“Deptford High Street pedestrians may seem like a small piece of puzzle, but it fits too well to a much larger image of displacement through design.”
The Lewisham Council has affirmed that the investigation shows that the pedestrians of the secondary streets increases the tread, reduces vacant units and increases sales.
A spokesman added: “We are actively approaching companies impacted in a basic one to listen to their views and solve problems that contribute to our attentive.
“Lewisham has a proud story of celebrating and protecting our various communities and we are committed to ensuring that any proposed development is based on what is already good in Lewisham while we ensure that the area reflects the needs of all in the community.”
A consultation of the Council on the Plans will be extended until May 14.
