The program encourages clubs to free players for UEFA National Team competitions, including League 2020/21 and 2022/23 of the Nations, European Classifiers and the EURO 2024 Final Tournament.
Financed by UEFA commercial revenues, a record of £ 199 million (€ 233 million) was distributed among 901 clubs in the 55 European football associations.
European clubs received an equal participation of £ 79.5m (€ 93 million) for each player launched for the matches of the UEFA Nations League and the qualifiers in euros. In addition, they obtained a fixed quantity classification of £ 2,900 (€ 3,395) to £ 9.251 (€ 10.187) per player per day.
English clubs received most of the compensation, and only Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United collected more substantial payments than Crystal Palace.
The Eagles had the majority of Gareth Southgate’s England team players last summer when Dean Henderson, Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton and Ebeeechi Eebereechi Eeze traveled to the Eurocopa 2024, helping the three lions to reach their first important tournament abroad.
Joachim Andersen, who left Crystal Palace for the rivals of London Fulham in August 2024, also reached the last 16 of the tournament with Denmark before being knocked out by German hosts.
