This long -awaited movement occurs as part of the ‘repression’ of the antisocial behavior of the Croydon Council in the municipality.
In a publication on his official Facebook page, the mayor of Croydon Jason Perry revealed that the owner of Vape and Mobile in Selsdon Road will face the prosecution after multiple complaints of the residents.

“We are taking energetic measures against antisocial behavior in Croydon,” Perry established in his position. “This includes processing the owner of Vape and Mobile after residents complained about antisocial behavior, including deliveries that block the pavement for long periods. The case will be at the end of this month.”
The problem surrounding Vape and Mobile stood out earlier this year in an exclusive report of the local democracy reports (LDRS). The residents were frustrated with the store, who had seen numerous deliveries obstructing the pavement, causing monstrosity and leaving pedestrians with little space to navigate.
An old woman resident of South Croydon named Mary said: “It simply looks ugly, isn’t that, see them all stacked like this”?
Despite this, Mr. Patel, the owner of Vape and Mobile, strongly defended the store’s operations in response to complaints. He said: “We are managing a business and we contribute more income than all these stores in your life. What is your problem?”
He also said how his business was a “success story”, while other stores closed through Croydon. He added: “I bought all these businesses when they were closed. If I ever left here, who would occupy thesis buildings?
“We are directing a business, we are using 20 people, we are paying commercial rates and see our goods. They only see our boxes just because we are in sight. We only take out the pallets two hours before they are out of the ship.”
In recent months, the store has become a focal point for Conerns about antisocial behavior in the area. The public has responded positively to the action of the Council, and many feel that the repression is very late.
The conservative councilors of South Croydon led the impulse of this action and were praised online after yesterday’s announcement. A public member, Allison Allen, commented on Facebook: “With luck, the beginning of recovering a local commercial street.”
The case against the owner of the store will be heard in the Court at the end of this month.
