The incident occurred in Church Road outside the Leyton Fire Station around 3.30 pm today (April 14).
The officers and teams of the London ambulance service attended and found a man who had been stabbed.
He was treated on the scene before being tasks in the hospital where his condition is unknown.
The Waltham Forest Council has urged X residents to “avoid” the area and find alternative routes if possible.
We have contacted the Metropolitan Police for more information.
A spokesman for the London ambulance service said: “Today they called us at 3.27 pm (April 14) for reports of a stabbing at the Crossing of Church Road and Oliver Road, Leyton.
“We send resources to the scene, including an ambulance team, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager and a paramedic of our tactical response unit.
“We also send the London air ambulance.
“They treat a man on the scene and take him to a great trauma center.”
