A 16 -year -old boy appeared before the court accused of murder after a man was fatally stabbed in Leicester.
Police said Louis Howard, 35, died in the place after the officers were called to a house in Oakdale Close, Braunstone Fith, shortly after 22:40 BST on Wednesday.
A post Mortem exam confirmed that Howard died of a white weapon wound.
The child, who cannot be appointed due to his age, only spoke to confirm his name and direction at a short hearing in the Leicester magistrates court on Saturday.
It was sent in the youth detention accommodation and must appear at Leicester Crown Court on Monday.
Leinteshire Police said a 32 -year -old woman arrested under suspicion of murder and a 33 -year -old woman arrested under suspicion of attending a criminal was released on police bail.
After prior contact with the Police, a mandatory reference has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IAPC).
