A common dolphins calf was killed by four bottle nose dolphins in New Quay.
The Seawatch Foundation, which takes care of Dolphins in the area, was called to investigate the incident on Thursday at 18:10 BST.
The incident, which has been described as an “incredible strange encounter”, can be seen from the edge of Cardigan Bay, Ceroldingion.
The organization loaded the calf on the boat to make an autopsy and determine why the calf was left alone in the water.
A private passenger boat saw what they started that he thought it was a porpicid
It is not clear why Dolphins attack Marsopas, but experts say it could be an aggressive response to food competition or miscellaneous sexual assault.
The boat, owned by Dolphin that detected boat trips, transported 12 passengers on a private spots of dolphins.
They had seen some dolphins in the water, including Ghost, who is one of the favorites of Delfines observers.
Sarah Michelle Wyer, 30, the photographer of the company, said: “It was an incredible strange encounter where a pod or a bottle filling dolphin attacked and killed a calf of common dolphins.
“I never before.
Holly Williams, 35, was one of the passengers in the boat and said: “Water began to jump. We thought they were only playing.”
The group saw something that the dolphins took out of the water and initially thought it was a salmon, but they realized that it was a common dolphin calf.
Dylan Coundley-Hughes, 22, is a investigator at the Seawatch Foundation caught the camera attack.
“This son of attacks is so strange to see in person. We know they happen in nature, but it is strange that they are ever seen,” he said.
