A total of 2,924 children in the municipality secured their first -option primary school on the National Primary Offer Day – 96.25 PC of the 3,038 applications received.
This is the highest in London and exceeds the average of the capital or 87.92 PC, Barking & Dagenham Council.
Follow the previous success of the municipality of having first preferences of the highest high school.

Councilor Elizabeth Kangethe, a member of the cabinet for educational achievement and school improvement, said “could not be more proud.”
CLLR KANGETHE said: “I am really happy that Barking and Daysham are constantly providing most of our young places in their primary schools of first option.
“Being at the top of London for the first placement of primary and school preferences this year is a tremendous achievement.
“The satisfaction of both students and their parents while preparing for this important educational milestone, within one of their chosen schools, is deeply satisfactory.”
The Council thanked the school’s admissions team for its “tireless efforts and dedication.”
Parents and caregivers are urged to accept their places before the deadline on Wednesday, April 30.
