A man has arrested bone under suspicion of murder attempt after a car hit several pedestrians in the county below.
The incident occurred shortly after 23:00 BST on Saturday, outside a license premises in Main Street in Milisle.
Police, together with ambulance services, attended the scene and two people were tasks to the hospital for the treatment of serious injuries.
It was reported that the vehicle involved turned around and led to adapt to the license facilities before leaving the scene, police said.
The vehicle was a short time later outside Walkers Lane, Millisle, and a man was arrested under suspicion of murder attempt.
The man was also arrested under suspicion of a series of driving crimes and he remains in custody, police said.
Motorists are informed that Main Street is currently closed and must look for alternative routes.
The Inspector Detective Oonagh Ryan, of the Northern Ireland Police Service, said the consultations are at an early stage.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at that time, who witnesses the incident, or anyone with Dashcam or passage footage, to contact detectives,” he added.
