The fire in Leman Street burned for almost two hours from around 5.45 pm yesterday (April 20) before I was extinguished per 100 firefighters.
They took people to security, since two floors on the sixth and seventh floors were lit, avoiding any injury.
The city commander, Lucy Macleod, who was on the scene, said: “The teams quickly acted to control the fire, but this steam event will remain at the site at the trailled access points.
“Currently the road closures are in place, and there is a significant congestion in the surrounding area.
“We urge the public to avoid the neighborhood when possible while we continually work so that the scene is safe.

“One of the 64 -meter rotating stairs of the brigade was used as an observation tower, providing a point of view for incident commanders to evaluate the incident.
“We are working closely with our partners to ensure that support is available for residents affected by the incident.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
