Southeast is currently the most challenging region in the United Kingdom to sell a property, while Scotland is located as the easiest and the latest Twentyci data.
Covering the period from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, The Research, which appears in the last property of the homemaver house of Twentyci, highlights the postal codes of the United Kingdom where the houses here are the hardest and most easy to sell.
Twentyci used five criteria to classify the difficulty or ease of selling a property. In order of importance, the thesis was: the price reached compared to the original sale price, if the property is probable, how fast it will be sold, how likely a sale falls and how likely a house has a reduction in the sale price.
All postal codes with at least 250 new instructions during the last year were examined, less than this means that the data set is too small to be valuable.
The same research carried out in 2024 revealed that the interior of London was the most difficult place to sell, but Scotland was the easiest again.
Currently in southeast, the properties are achieving an average or 95.6% of its original sale price that is below the national average of 97%. They are also less likely to sell at all, with only 50% of the listed houses that are completed, compared to 55% nationwide.
In addition, 41% of the listings in the region are made at least one price reduction, compared to 37% throughout the United Kingdom, and the drop rate is 26.5%, above the national average of 24%. While each property takes an average of 78 days to sell in the region, this is a little faster than the national average of 84.
In contrast, Scotland stands out as the Easyston region to sell. The properties here are sold faster, on average around 49 days. They are more likely to be sold with 78.6% that is completed, and tend to achieve a greater proportion of the initial price of 105.4%, most likely due to the “sacrifices on” the country.
Price reductions are also less common, with only 19.5% of the list that experiences at least price reduction, and falls are significantly lower in only 13%, partly due to the legal processes of Scotland in front properties transactions.
It is important to keep in mind that the thesis results do not consider the regional price. The average property that appears in the sale in Scotland in the first quarter of 2025 was £ 232k, compared to £ 494K in southeast. In terms of asset value, southeast is a more attractive place to own a property, despite sales difficulties.

“Although it is still desirable, it is now the most challenging region to sell, probably due to the growing pressures of affordability, such as high mortgage rates that make buyers access the market.
“Around the last year, the average sale prices in the region have dropped by 0.6%, but agreed sales increase by more than 8%. This demonstrates an active demand, but this growth delays the regions of England that have seen profits of a time frame.”
