I always describe London as a city of peoples, each with his own charm and character, and one of my personal favorites is Greenwich. This Unesco World Heritage site is full of history, impressive architecture, independent boutiques and delicious food places. It is the perfect place for a day outside, whether it is a tourist who sees the city for the first time or a London store that seeks to explore beyond its usual places. So, this is how I make rooms spend the perfect day in Greenwich.

I spend a day in Greenwich, one day itinerary:
Catch the thames clipper
One of the best ways to get to Greenwich is to climb the támesis clipper boat. Navigation along the river gives it a unique perspective of London, passing iconic reference points such as Tower Bridge, The Shard and London Eye on the road. In addition, it leaves you right in Greenwich’s heart to be ready to explore. I recommend sitting outside if you can enjoy the views.

Take a coffee at 15 grams
Once you have left the boat, go to 15 grams, a small cozy cafeteria hidden right next to the main street. It is a local jewel known for its special coffee. It is the ideal place to feed before a full day of exploration, and if you are a bakery, they are also worth trying.
Visit Greenwich Park and the Royal Observatory
Once caffeine, wanders in the beautiful Greenwich Park, one of the oldest and most picturesque green spaces in London. As he advances uphill, he will receive one of the best panoramic views of the city. In the upper part is the Royal Observatory, famous as the average time of Greenwich (GMT) and the main line of Meridian. I will be honest: the entrance is on the most expensive side, but if you enter, you can stop with one foot in the eastern and western hemispheres, which is great! That said, if you are looking to save some cents, simply walk for the view alone is fine.
Explore the queen’s house
From the Royal Observatory, he returns to the hill to the Queen’s house, an attraction that is often overlooked, but it is worth a visit. It is a real formal residence that now houses a free art gallery. If art is not yours, the building is impressive with the iconic tulip stairs inside and imposing columns outside.

Take a lunch
When hunger hits, you have two excellent options that depend on your mood. If you are looking for something fast and casual, go to the Greenwich market. It is a small bustling place full of independent food stalls that serve everything, from Curry Ethiopians to gourmet toast and fresh donuts. Ideal if you want to eat while wandering or takes something on the fly.
If you are looking for a meal to sit with a view, go to the Trafalgar tavern. This historical pub next to the river goes back to 1837 and serves classical British food in a great and nautical environment. Think of fish and fries, cakes and a solid roast if there is a Sunday with views about thames.
Go to the old Real Naval University
In my opinion, this is the highlight of one day in Greenwich! The Old Royal Naval College has an absolutely impressive architecture and the true show of the show is the painted room. It is or refers to the “Sistine Chapel of the United Kingdom”, with its beautiful roof and walls covered with intricate Baroque works of art. If there is something you see in Greenwich, do this! While you are there, it appears in the chapel through the patio, it is much quieter but equally beautiful, with blue interiors and dores. And just around the corner there is a skittle alley of the Victorian era hidden on the site, which is fun to try!

And finally, visit the Cutty Sark
This beautifully restored Tea Clipper of the nineteenth century is another of Greenwich’s great attractions, but I warn you, the price of the ticket is on the upper side. Personally, I think it is a bit steep for what you get, and can be easily admired from the stranger while walking through the river. That said, if you are a true fan of history or love all nautical things, it could be worth the waste. Inside, you can walk under the ship’s helmet, explore the covers and learn about their global trips.
And that is an envelope on the perfect day in Greenwich! Whether it is there for history, opinions, food (or three), I hope this guide helps you make the most of your visit.
