Pudgy Penguins, one of the few NFT projects that is still giving attention, has announced a new association with Nascar in another step to reach the conventional public.
The association was announced on June 11 through a letter in X, where the team said it would be Nascar to take their “Pesum” character to fans of careers around the world. While few details were shared, the announcement adds to a growing list of brand efforts from P
This comes at a time when much of the NFT market has slowed down. The last market, the market saw a decrease in sales year after year of 63%, with total sales that fell from $ 4.1 billion in the first quarter of 2024 to $ 1.5 billion in the first quarter of 2025, according to Cryptoslam data.
Commercial volumes decrease abruptly, and once again prominent projects have seen values fall. But Pudgy Penguins has continued to build, focusing less on speculation and more on the creation of a strong consumption brand.
The project has launched new games, increased toys sales in thousands of American stores and attracted more than two million records for its next blockchain game, Pengu Clash, in the last month. Merchandise was also launched in Walgreens and associated with Mythical Games to launch Pudgy Party, another step on web3 gaming.
Despite these efforts, the project token has not followed the same upward trend. The Pegues Token has dropped more than 6% in the last 24 hours and almost 20% during the last month. Even so, the brand seems focused on long -term objectives, increasing its presence through retail trade, games and now, live sports.
The association with Nascar could help introduce grocery penguins to a new and broader audience, which may not be familiar with NFT, but connects with characters and experiences. While it is an uncle exactly what will include collaboration, it conforms to the recent efforts of the team to expand outside the central cryptographic space.
Rendios penguins began as a collection of digital avatars, but slowly became a broader entertainment brand and products. If this change is worth it or not, it reflects a different approach to many of their classmates.
