A city in southeastern Tennessee is drawing in homebuyers. That city is Chattanooga and, according to The Agency Chattanooga Managing Partner Becky Cope English, its real estate market is gradually getting hotter. Chattanooga sits not far from the Tennessee-Georgia border and is home to some 187,000 residents, per the U.S. Census Bureau. There were over 10,300 home sales closed in the area in 2024, according to Greater Chattanooga Realtors. English noted Chattanooga saw a “little bit of a dip” last year but added that the market was “right in line with what I would call a more normal market” after…

The premier of Alberta, Canada, Danielle Smith has been a stern supporter of President Donald Trump, but she fears that an apparent “tariff war” will cause “more pain” for the U.S. and her home country. “I think the American people are beginning to understand that a tariff war with Canada, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. It actually causes more pain than benefit,” Smith said on “Varney & Co.” Thursday. “So let’s get back to having that tariff-free relationship as soon as possible.” A 25% tariff on Canadian goods – and a separate 10% tariff on oil imports – took…
By ARIEL FRISTOE As the artistic director of Out of Hand Theater, an arts organization that promotes anti-racism, social activism and health equity, I believe the recent appointment of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (RFK) as Secretary to the Department of Health and Human Services is beyond concerning. RFK is not a doctor, nor is he a scientist, yet he has been very vocal about his vaccine skepticism and has promoted misinformation about vaccine safety. Now, along with the removal of scientific information and warnings from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website, RFK’s appointment could lead to major increases in…
Stuart Blitz is COO and founder of Hone Health. He comes from a long career in health tech, notably at diabetes device pioneer Agamatrix. Stuart’s been working on his aggressive social media career, but in the background he co-founded Hone Health in the male health online telehealth/pharmacy space in March 2020 (great timing!). It’s now raised real money ($33m last month), has expanded to the other half of the population (women, too!), and is finding a space for itself in the cash-pay space where HIMS, Roman et al are well known. We had a great conversation about how that space…

A new Illinois bill aims to add some oversight of families who homeschool their children, a response to concerns that the state does little to ensure these students receive an education and are protected from harm. The measure, known as the Homeschool Act, comes after an investigation by Capitol News Illinois and ProPublica last year found that Illinois is among…
