Charlton’s thin automatic promotion aspirations stopped when Wrexham assured championship football for next season with an integral victory.
Here is the lowdown in the game.

Snapshot of the game
The hosts knew that a victory would see them sealing a third successive promotion and began as a team that was not going to let that opportunity slide.
Olly Rathbone led the Welsh outfit to the lead 15 minutes after working on her way. And that advantage extended only three minutes later when Sam Smith clung to a ball floating in the area to volley beyond Will Mannion.
Wrexham’s early and fast fire, along with an intimidating atmosphere in the field of the racecourse, seemed to disturb the Addices in the first 20 minutes. The Jones side was facilitated in the contest and created some moments, but did not take them.
Charlton enjoyed some possession and territory after the break, but it never seemed to organize an unlikely return. Smith ended the afternoon contest, heading home from a deep cross.
Tactical approach
The Addictions were shaken by the absences of Luke Berry and Histry Small with what the club described as “minor injuries.” Karoy Anderson took Berry’s place in the center of the countryside, with Tennai Watson in a small right wing.
The young Micah Mbick striker was thrown to action shortly in the second half, replacing the central half Lloyd Jones, who was clearly fighting with his physical state. This saw Tyrece Campbell get out of par for a spell, before forming a three front when Daniel Kanu returned from an injury to replace Karoy Anderson.
The Middlesbrough borrower Alex Gilbert also reached the final stages, but it was not enough for the southern Londoners to return to the contest.
Rigor
Kayne Ramsay. I won some challenges in a difficult day for the entire team.
Better
Ramsay’s ball in Tennai Watson for the best opportunity of Addices shortly before part time, but the wing could not beat Arthur Okonkwo.
Party groan
Charlton seemed to be exaggerated by the atmosphere and the occasion from the beginning and that was his ruin.
A point of conversation in the pub
Addiction fans will cross every digit that the club does not enter the play-offs exhausted by injuries.
Deep down, you knew they were in a long afternoon when the news of the team came out, with small and berries, both marginalized. Lloyd Jones was clearly fighting too.
Part of its success in the second half of this campaign arose because Nathan Jones often had a complete list to select. Raspe below the surface of the first 11 and there may be a remarkable fall in threat.
It was remarkable for Addicks manager to mention the difference in the Wrexham and Charlton transfer business in January. Until now it has a problem, but could the Londoners of the south of the lack of options at the end of the campaign?
Charlton has been flying since mid -December. Hopefully this is a mistake and can find their way again in the play-offs. But any persistent physical condition problem could really abolish their possibilities.
What the boss had to say
“We were second quite all game, they were excellent today. We did the basics Well. We had a Really Tough Week. This isn ‘ We lost), we lost), lost), we lost), lost), lost), we lost), lost), lost), lost), lost), lost), lost), lost), lost), lost) (we lost) (we lost) (we lost) (we lostmall) (lostmall) (lostmall) (lostmall) (lostmall) (Lostmall), Lostmall) (Lostmall), Lostmall) (Lostmall),), Maynard-Brewer, we solve Lloyd (Jones).
“That seemed to have shaken. We had too many players who were overcome, out of work and deserved their victory. But look, we cannot be too negative, we have to concentrate now on the play-offs.”
