Councilor Dadd said: “Ongar residents and surrounding villages are lucky enough to enjoy relatively low crimes levels.
“But today’s challenges look a bit different.
“Our young people face online dangers such as cyberbullying, exposure to inappropriate content and substance abuse pressure and sexualized messaging.
“The recently drama ‘adolescence’ has also created awareness about other hidden struggles and dangers that our children have to sail daily.
“Meanwhile, older and more vulnerable residents are attacked by increasingly sophisticated scams through telephone calls, emails and internet purchases to try to defraud them from their won savings.
“Whether young or old, it is clear that staying safe now means being informed.
“How sure are you that you or your family will not be a victim? Can you learn more to keep your family safe?”
The officials and volunteers of the Forest Community Security Association will also attend.
They will share information about their campaigns, which have included work on violence against women and girls, internet security for school school, antisocial behavior, such as four -year bicycles and damage to local wildlife.
