From cinematographic icons to international Cricket captains, here are five celebrities that were born or grew in Ilford.
Lady Maggie Smith
Lady Maggie Smith is one of the few artists to win the triple crown of the performance (Image: PA) Born on December 28, 1934 in Ilford was Dame Maggie Smith, who would become one of the most recognizable actresses of nations.
A recent list that uses Yougov’s qualifications classified more than 2,600 celebrities based on popularity and Dame Maggie placed tenth in general.
Some of his most notable papers include Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter and Violet Crawley franchise in Downton Abbey.
Multiple winner Dame Maggie died last September.
Noel Edmonds
Noel Edmonds presented a treatment or no treatment for many years (Image: PA) Noel Edmonds, who was born in Ilford on December 22, 1948 and attended Gland and Brentwood School primary school.
After presenting a multicolored exchange store of the children’s program And other BBC television programs such as Top of the Pops and Top Gear Duration in the 1970s, she was host of Noel’s House Party from 1991 to 1999.
After a break in the transmission, Noel returned to the current agreement or not agreed from 2005 to 2016.
Noel was the first contestant voted in I’M to Celebrity Get Me out here 2018.
Nasser Hussain
Nasser Hussain captained the England Cricket team from 1999 to 2003 (Image: PA) The family of former Cricket player Nasser Hussain moved from Madras, India to Ilford when he was six years old.
Nasser played for Essex and passed Captain England in 45 trial matches between 1999 and 2003.
Since he retired, Nasser has become a part of the Sky Sports Cricket team.
Dev Hynes
Dev Hynes has produced songs with Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey (Image: PA) Born in Ilford on December 23, 1985 he was Devonte ‘Dev’ Hynes, also known as Blood Orange and previously Lightspeed champion.
He attended the School of the Chadwell Heath Foundation, now known as Chadwell Heath Academy.
DEV was known as Lightspeed Champion from 2007 to 2010 before giving the act to concentrate on his R&B music under the name of Blood Orange.
In his career, Dev has produced songs with some of the most important names of music: Britney Spears, Florence and the Machine, Kylie Minogue and Mariah Carey, among others.
Jane Leeves
Jane Leeves played Daphne Moon in the American comedy Frasier (Image: PA/ PA files) Jane Leeves was born in Ilford on April 18, 1961 and is well known for her role as Daphne Moon in American Comedy Fraser.
For this, Jane was nominated for an Emmy for an outfit of Acress support in a comedy series in 1998 and a Golden Globe for Best Support Achant in a series, Mini Series or television movies in 1995.
She expressed Mrs. Ladybug in James and the giant peach in 1996 and later Lulu, a chimpanzee in the Penguins of Madagascar series.
