The properties, for over 60 years, will be delivered by Audley Group and Senior Living Investment Partners (SLIP) and operated by Audley Group.
They will be the first in London to operate under the Mayfield Villages brand of Audley Group.
Residents will have access to 17,000 square feet of comforts, which include a village hall, a health and welfare center, a residents room, outdoor gardens and a coffee/bistro open to the public.
Tom Goodall, Executive Director of the developer and partner of the Barnet Council, Related Argent, said: “We are delighted that the first retirement houses in Brent Cross Town have been approved.
“This is based on the continuous internal investment insured in the last 12 months and accelerates our bold vision of creating an intergenerational community with several housing options.”
The attached leader of the Barnet Council, Cllr Ross Houston, responsible for houses and regeneration, said: “Brent Cross Town is being carefully designed to meet the needs of our residents now and in the future.
“The introduction of a new high quality posterior vital accommodation will contribute to the vibrant combination of housing options that can already be notified in the new neighborhood.”
Brent Cross Town will have 6,700 new houses, 3m square feet of offices, a main street, schools, a university and 50 acres of parks and playgrounds.
