Police were called to an accident of two cars in London Road near the roundabout of Stonehouse corner around 10.15 pm yesterday (April 24).
A 17 -year -old boy died in the place despite the attempts to save him.
His family has been informed of his death and is being helped by officers especially training while the investigation is carried out.
A 18 -year -old boy from Rainham was arrested under suspicion of causing death due to dangerous driving and is in custody.
The road closed during the night and since then has reopened.
