The teams arrived at Hunters Chase around 3.15 pm on April 21, where a fire had started in a garage.
It is believed that a resident has wax candles in the garage, causing the fire.
The flames to extend to three cars, a summer house, a shed and a fence.
While the house was not affected, the resident suffered minor burns and was treated by the ambulance service.(Image: Essex Fire and rescue)
The station manager Rick Williams said: “The teams did a good job to prevent the fire from extending to the house.
“We believe that the fire began because the resident was making wax candles in the garage.
“This contained a series of flammable elements and cylinders that cause the fire to spread rapidly.”
Billericay, Brentwood, Basildon, Wickford and Corringham firefighters helped address the fire.
