The day of San Jorge, also known as The Feast or St George, is usual held on April 23 of each year.
The day celebrates the patron saint of England: St George, known as a national hero, martyr and his legend killing a dragon.
King Eduardo III made St. Jorge the patron saint of England when he formed the order of the League in the name of San Jorge in 1350.

The English Heritage added: “Despite not being the country, St George was considered someone who embodied characteristics that the kingdom wanted to project in the outside world.”
San Jorge is not only the patron saint of England, but also several other countries, including Germany, Portugal and Armenia, according to English heritage.
This year, the day of the San Jorge party falls on April 28, 2025.

The Church of England, in a publication on X (previously Twitter), said: “Together with many other churches, we do not maintain the days of the saints during Easter Week.
“When San Jorge’s day or San Marcos day fall between Palm Sunday and the second Easter Sunday, it is transferred to Monday after the second Easter Sunday.
“If both fall in this period, San Jorge’s day is transferred to Monday and San Marcos Day to Tesday.
“That means that this year, San Jorge’s day falls on April 28, 2025”.
