The emblem was painted in rocks where children play in Clissold Park, near Stamford Hill, one of the largest orthodox Jewish communities in Europe.

Caroline Woodley, mayor of Hackney, said in X April 21: “I won the abhorrent graffiti that disfigured this game area, but because the worried residents knew that Hackney counter teams were out last night and again to eliminate it.
“Everyone should feel safe to play in Hackney.”

CLLR Susan Fajana Thomas, member of the Community Security and Regulatory Services Cabinet, said: “Hackney Council strongly condemns the hateful graffiti that appeared in a local game area this week. This Borghy game.
“As soon as the incident was reported, our teams responded quickly, attending the site last night and again this morning to ensure that offensive graffiti was eliminated as quickly as possible.
“We are committed to ensuring that everyone in Hackney feels safe in our public spaces, special places designed for children and families.
“We are also working in close collaboration with the partners, including the police, to investigate this matter and take any more necessary measure.”
