The woman was found by emergency services on a property in Ayley Court on Saturday (April 19) around 7 pm with a white weapon wound.
The woman, named Pamela Munro, 45 years old from Enfield, died in the place.
Today (April 21) a 29 -year -old man was arrested under suspicion of murder and is in custody.
Pamela’s family is being supported by specialized officers.
The chief inspector of Detectives Neil John, of the MET Specialist Crimes Command, said: “The investigation officers have worked syntily during the weekend to investigate the circumstances around the death of Pamela.
“We continually rely on the family that are understandable devastated.
“This morning, we arrest a 29 -year -old man in relation to Pamela’s death and he remains in custody.
“We continually ask anyone who may have information or particularly anyone who drove through Ayley Croft between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19 and could some Dashcam images to contact us.”
The Chief Superintendent of Detectives, Caroline Haines, who supervises Enfield’s surveillance, said: “Our thoughts are with Pamela’s family and local residents who will have been significantly affected after the news of his death.
“I am grateful to the local officers and officers of the Specialist Crime Command who have worked tirelessly since Saturday to investigate the circumstances surrounding Pamela’s death and support the local community.
“Neighborhood officers will remain in Ayley Croft through the next few days to support the community and help researchers continuous consultations.
