The statement included in the image says: “I join millions around the world to cry the death of his holiness, Pope Francis.
“His leadership at a complex and challenging moment for the world and the Church was brave, but he always came from a place of deep humility.
“Pope Francis was a Pope for the poor, the oppressed and the forgotten. He was close to the realities of human fragility, knowing Christians throughout the world who face war, famine, persecution and poverty. However, he never lost hope of a better world.

“My thoughts are with Catholics and all those who are around the world that fill their leadership.”
