The members of Slimming World in Eastcote, Hatch End, Northwood and Pinner raised more than £ 7,500 for Cancer Research UK by donating their thinning or clothing to the stores of the beneficial organization.
The initiative was part of the annual Big Slimming World free clothing event, which sees members throughout the United Kingdom donate clothes, shoes and accessories that no longer fit.
The groups collected 244 bags to support the research that saves lives.
The world weight loss consultant, Reva, who runs the Pinner Green and Hatch End groups, said: “I am very happy to see confidence in my members while they commit to donate their biggest clothes Cloody made the life of Teay’e Teay’en.”
The event also creates awareness about the link between maintaining a healthy weight and reducing the risk of 13 different types of cancer.
Reva added: “I am proud to organize the launch of great thinning clothes in my Slimming World Group to help Cancer Research UK continuously his vital work.”
Over the years, Slimming World has raised more than £ 25 million for Cancer Research UK through several campaigns, including The Clothing Throw and the Race for Life series.
