A group of Minecraft players has established an attentive task to recreate the United Kingdom in the video game, including all London.
The construction team, part of the online community Build The Earth, said that the last five years have passed by building detailed digital versions of reference points, such as the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace, as well as several of the municipalities of London.
The United Kingdom team has collectively passed up to 15,000 hours working on the project. Some members have come to find planning applications and contact organizations directly to ensure that their models were as precise as possible.
The group, which was in 2020, said that the original objective of recreating the entire planet had been reduced since then, the community continues to encourage the players to focus on the construction of places that are significant for them locally.
Since its test launch in 2009, Minecraft has grown in popularity and is now the best -selling computer game of all time. The game is a set in an “open world”, which allows players to create almost anything imagined outside the blocks.
